[It's the only shout heard echoing over the Gear from a new transmission before the feed goes dead silent. Around fifteen minutes and a good breakfast later, Kuwabara manages to find the video function.

He's now outside and brushing crumbs away from his mouth.]

URAMESHIIII!! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GO?!

[Because obviously, being somewhere else means it's his fault. He waits a solid minute of just looking and staring, but then just decides to ask the gear instead. Thanks, Urameshi. Thanks.]

So, uh, some nice lady thought I was her kid and gave me a bag and a cat. [He laughs a little nervously.]

I don't know what it is, but it's kinda cute! She said it's mine, but, uh... I'm not really her kid? Does she have a kid? She's kinda... [He pauses on this one, then shrugs.] Unique's a good word for it.

Anyway. What am I s'posed to do with this? And, uh... how do I get back home? I'm not in the demon world right now, am I? 'Cuz this doesn't seem like Earth, but it's kinda like Earth. It's normal. Well, except for the pink cat, and the lady, and waking up here, and... Well, a lot of it's not normal.

I mean, usually Urameshi knows what's going on, but I dunno where he went, so... Anyone know here?

[Seriously, someone come help out this sad, pathetic child.]

[She nods and smiles, it's a little complicated but they'll get to that most likely.]

The tournament was interesting. [And she understands his confusion considering she was on the freighter home when she arrived.] You get used to the weird.

I think it works like that, I only have proof that everyone appears in New Bark Town, though. From there it's up to the person.

[He'll get used to it? Well... if she says so... He doesn't want to doubt her but he's sure it'll take a while. (And by a while, it'll probably be 'half an hour' or 'until he's really hungry'.]

So you... land in this city, and then... we just go wherever? How big's this world? I'll meet up with you guys.

Sort of. Normally, people travel to the next town after New Bark Town. That's Cherrygrove and sometimes you meet up with people you know there. After that it's common to go to Violet City which is like a week from Cherrygrove by foot so that'd be nine days on the road if you traveled straight through to Violet City.

[She pauses finger on her chin as she calculates out just how much time Kuwabara would spend on the road to reach Azalea by foot]

I think if you traveled without taking a single break you'd reach Azalea by next month. It took us about ten days to travel between Violet City and Azalea. So that's nineteen days if you don't get lost in Union Cave. But I bet Yusuke will be leaving pretty soon to come get you with Puu and one of his pokémon know fly so it should go much faster than that to meet up with everyone else.

[She laughs, sorry about the information dump Kuwabara. Your head must be spinning.]

So, uh, lemme see if I got this straight. So... nine and seven, then you carry the one, add the--oh, wait, you said nineteen...

So can I just run? Would that make it faster?

[She shrugs but she's smiling.]

You could. I'm not sure how much time that will cut off. I haven't tried it. But it should allow you to cover more distance a bit faster than just walking. I'd say you'd probably travel as quickly as when doing track in PE.

Huh... I'll give it a go and see how it works! I'm pretty good at track running!

Just remember to take breaks as you go. You just got here and we don't want you getting into trouble.

[A short pause]

Though you'd be able to handle just about anything around here since pokémon aren't quite as strong as the demons at the tournament.

I'm not gonna get into trouble, jeez! I'm just gonna run and fight only if I gotta.

If they're weak, there's nothing to worry about.

You're right, you and the Skitty will be fine.

Of course we will! I'm sure this little guy is pretty strong, so we'll make it through fine.

[He beams a little.] And if we don't, feel free to punch me.

[She looks a little uncomfortable at the memtion of punching. As it is she's only ecer actually hit Kuwabara once and he'd deserved it at the time.]

I think I'll let Yusuke do the punching. I'll just be glad you got here eventually.

[He just grins at her. This is a deal he can live with.]

Sounds like a deal! So Keiko, everything treating you well here?

[She grins cause that's a deal that is at least par for home in outcome.]

Pretty much. I'm still adjusting to the idea of battling but I'm getting better about it.

[Considering that she basically cried all over him during Yusuke's death match with Chu that probably says a lot right there.]

Well, maybe you don't have to battle too much! But it's probably a good thing that you're learnin' to.

[That way, if Yusuke or the guys aren't there... It's so weird thinking of half of their team missing and half the girls lingering about. Ladies, be careful!!]

One can only hope. It's a help when I'm caught in the wild and need to defend myself.

[Yep she knew where you were going with that and she's frowning a little at you Kuwabara. Just because she doesn't like violence doesn't mean she's above defending herself.]

[HE JUST DOESN'T WANT YOU HURT because then Urameshi's kicking everyone's ass.]

What else do people do with these things if they don't fight with 'em?

[She gets it don't worry Kuwabara, she's still working on getting Yusuke to understand she doesn't need to be protected all the time by boys. She appreciates it, but she likes to think she's an independent sort of woman too.]

Breed them. That's technically what I'm supposed to be doing but I haven't had any luck yet.

[She shrugs.]

It's probably help if I actually caught more pokémon.
